Hey guys, im new to the forums of course. Im in the process of rooting my phone, I've tried rooting with multiple different versions of Froyo but i keep encountering the same problem. I will download the zip folder and rename it "update.zip". I place "update.zip" on the SD card and i go into android system recovery. I reset to factory and wipe cache. Heres where I keep encountering the same problem.
    I go to apply sdcard:update.zip
this is what i keep receiving in the window
    --install from sdcard...
    finding update package...
    opening update package...
    verifying update package...
E:failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (no such file or directory)
    installation aborted.

Please tell me what im doing wrong!

    Thanks

Check the file, make sure its not update.zip.zip try renaming it to just update The .zip might automatically be added.
