help with installing CM/Google

    for some reason i cant get google hooked up when i installed CM..i cant find the link anywhere, can someone help me pleasE?

    ive tried every possible way i found in these forums and im having no luck, im stuck because i also have no idea how to get the phone back to stock to maybe start fresh too but ive been messing with this for 5 hours now and cant seem to find an answer on how to get google to work so that everything can be synced...my lady is going to kill me when she finds this happened to her phone:icon_eek:

    Did you download and install the gapps file as well as the CM7 ROM?

    Your profile to the left says you have a Droid x. That could be your problem, if you're trying to flash CM for the Droid 1 on your X. I don't believe cvpcs has CM running on the x yet.

    He's using his DX to post. He installed CM6 on his D1 using SP recovery. Details droidDOES.duh hint hint :)

    Scroll to the bottom of this link and download the 20101114 gapps under HDPI app version: Latest Version - CyanogenMod Wiki. Make sure you take the update.zip of CM6 off the sd, rename the gapps and place them on the root of the sd. Then flash it just like you've been doing. Let us know how it goes.
