I'm rooted and trying to install BB following the steps outlined here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/ha...ng-only-sprecovery-terminal-emulator-zip.html

I've read all the recommended threads, but Im stuck at step 10. I'm using a mac, and when I save as, the name comes up as "flash_image.htm". I then remove the ".htm", and click download, but it won't download, an error message keeps coming up. Is this a known mac issue, or should i download it with the extension, then remove the extension once downloaded? Or do I remove the extension once I put the file on the droid itself? Thank you for the help

edit, the error message on the mac says this
"/Users/(my name)/Desktop/flash_image.htm could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.

Try again later, or contact the server administrator."

When I downloaded it, it just downloaded. I use a mac as well. I just click it, and it downloads. Im using Google Chrome, maybe your browser is causing the problem.

I'm using firefox, maybe i should restart. Now did you remove the extension in the download window, and then click download, or did you download it first then remove the extension. I don't know if it matters or not.

I just clicked it and it downloaded. There wasn't an extension added, but the step says if it adds an extension to jsut remove it. Let me boot up firefox and see what happens.
