I have a droix rooted and have not changed my rom but want to switch to gingerbread rom. Now my question is froyo is not something that comes with my phone stock right? Having my stock rom what would be fastest and easiest way to download the gingerbread rom

Depending on when you got your DX, it either came with Froyo (2.2) or prompted you to update to it shortly after.

3 months ago would mean that it is stock Froyo. Going from that to GB is the same process as it would be if you were on a custom ROM now.

Download the 2 part Gingerbread .596 files and make sure they are on your SD card.

Root, install Droid 2 Bootstrap, then install the 2 part rooted .596 files from Team Blackhat.

Make sure you wipe your data and cache. Then reboot.

Yes. 595 is an older leak.

.595 and .596 are basically the same, but .596 is the current and most recent version of Motorola Gingerbread for the X.

X2. Its probably one of the main reasons people have so many issues with GB
