Just as a reference to what I'm talking about, please refer to this thread:
    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/79595-r2d2-bootanimation-optimized-d1-no-lag-5.html

As I stated in there, I was able to get my boot animation to work, but wanted to change the colors. I had opened each of the .png files in Photoshop, which opened in "Indexed Color." I changed each one to RGB color, desaturated, selective color, changed back to Indexed Color, and saved with the same file name. Now the boot animation doesn't work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you try to chmod 0644?

    Code:
    su
    chmod 0644 /location/of/bootanimation.zip
    sync
    reboot

I did not, however, I did find that I needed to save the images as jpeg. Once I did that, fixed the desc.txt, and re-zipped the files, it worked fine. I posted the link for download in the other thread if anyone wants to download it.

You did it as JPEGs? I always do it with PNGs and it works just fine.

Yeah, and it seems they are normally .png images, but for some reason, that wouldn't work for me. I'll play on it a little more. Feel free to download it and tweak it around a bit. If you can get it to work as .png images, that should decrease the file size quite a bit.
