Hey guys i bought this phone knowing it was bricked hoping i could revive it, however it has not been as easy as i hoped...

Heres the situation:
as soon as i put in the battery it goes straight to the boot loader saying

Bootloader
2C.7C

Code Corrupt

Battery OK
Ok to Program
Transfer Mode:
USB

I feel like there still maybe hope.. but i have tried the following SBFs and they all fail at
Error Switching phone to BP pass through mode (0x70BE)

VZW_A855_ESD20_QSC6085BP_C_01.3B.01P_SW_UPDATE
VZW_A855_FRG01B_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE_01
VZW_A855_FRG22D_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE_01

all from Peter Alfonso's site... i have used RSDlite 4.8 and 4.6

also using windows 7 i have done this multiple times with my DX and had it bricked pretty bad a while back but got it fixed... so i'm hoping the same can happen here..

is it too far gone?
Thanks i know your busy...

Don't know for sure, but I have never heard of or seen one specifically say "code corrupt" on the bootloader. But that's just me, and I'm no expert......but sounds like u have tried everything, so I would say to far gone. Hope u didn't pay a lot for it!

Try flashing a boot icon.

Just a shot in the dark but I think they tried flashing a bad boot icon sbf.

Have you given any thought about trying to flash a recovery on it first like RZRecovery? Try that then see if you can either SBF or flash a ROM to it. What's the worst case, you brick it!?!? LOL That's my two pennies shot into the darkness!

ok so i couldn't find what you were talking about so i trying flashing the RZrecovery, it flashed fine, now i get the M and then to the bootloader WITHOUT the code corrupt.. so i'm trying an sbf esd56 i believe... we'll see how that goes if i get the code corrupt again i'll try your thing... also what are the keys to hold to get into recovery?

You hold the physical "X" on the keyboard while holding the power button. As soon as you see the "M" logo you release the power button while still holding "X." If you're using RZRecovery, it'll go straight into recovery.

If you want it back to stock, Peter Alfonso has sbf files for that. There was a thread on here that I read about flashin the FRG83D sbf using RSDLite, then downloading the FRG83G from FRG83D zip file. Use recovery to install the zip after sbfing.

Oops, that was an accident. Anyway, you could flash the 2.0.1 sbf, and if the feature is in that sbf, you will get notifications for an OTA update either to 1)FRG83G/D or 2) the next update after 2.0.1 (2.1) and you'll keep updating through those versions until 2.2. I'm not 100% sure about that so don't take my word. But if you sbf a stock file then you'll get OTAs. That's for certain.
