And i was wondering is that the root i want to use and am i able to use it since i have the Over The Air 2.1 update from verizon?

+1 for one click root. Started reading that thread when I decided to root and never looked back.

i also used the +1 root,flashed nonsensikal kaos froyo 5.4 and havent looked back yet.i love my phone even more now that its rooted seems to be just as capable as my gf`s droid 2.although lately i have been thinking of flashing a new rom just for fun.
