I switched to BBv1.0 about 3 days ago and installed the 1GHz 7 LV kernel thats one of the recommended on the list. Everything went fine until last night when I tried using Google Earth. It didnt work so I reinstalled and rebooted...now I keep getting repeated boots. Even fully wiping and formating everything 2x + a fresh BBv1.0 install didnt help. It seems to have a pattern now that Ive noticed. It'll run the boot animation twice, load the lock screen for 2 seconds, reboot 1 more time, then be ok. However, certain things make it reboot at random such as unmounting the SD and using the MM dock.

So Im assuming it just doesnt like the kernel (changing OC speeds didnt help, even at 550/250). So is there a highly recommended/stable kernel for BBv1.0?

Not sure what options are available to you, but I'm gonna bet that the low-voltage thing caught up to you. what standard voltage options do you have?

also, is it possible to simply DL a new kernel and install the ZIP in CW? instead of going through ROM manager, DLing the new OS + kernel, backup/wipe yada yada...

Well you will only be downloading a new kernel, not an OS, you aren't switching to WM or WebOS lol. No need to wipe for installing a new kernel, back up though.

The thing is he is already using a 1000 LV kernel which isn't booting for him. He either needs something around 800 LV, or if that doesn't work, a SV kernel.

i been running a 1.0GHz kernel for weeks/months now. Im not sure what voltage my UD10 kernel was, but it was def 1.0GHz. Could this mean my droid just doesnt like BB?

Just give that one a shot. If not I have others clocked at different freqs with different voltages. I'm confident.

Give them a shot they've all been tested and are configured a little different. Let me know if your issue continues

How would you install these with clockwork? Is it the " install zip from sd" in the recovery menu? Thanks. I am switching to a stock ese81 deodexed, think one of yours will work?

    Kernel

If installing with clockwork recovery there is no need to rename and you would install zip as normal. If using sprecovery then you will need to rename to update.zip. Ensure you dont rename update.zip.zip. I will have a write up this evening as soon as i get home with more info on the Kernels. They will definately work on ese81. These Kernels are compatible with any rom.
