since the new build messed up my droid, I thought I would go back to 2.1 and wait for the OTA after they fix the bugs.
I just don't want to root my phone with frg22.
does that make sense?
thanks..

So you are wanting to completely unroot and go back to stock as if you just got the phone?

Any update, no matter what it is is going to have some bugs. I've been running 2.2 for about a month now and there is no way that I would return to 2.1.

But it's your Droid. Do as you please. That was just my opinion I'm giving to you.

Are you running ClockWork Mod? ...Also, if the phone turns on and you want to go back to stock, there is a How-To to do exactly that. I have never gone full stock so I can get you that link and you can go from there. If you just want to go back to 2.1 I can help with that. YOu seem to be using ClockWork though so in that case. I have a question. The update.zip on your SD card. Is that the 2.2 upgrade you did or is that a backup you made?

I may be going about this the "long way" but it's what I know and it works. If you want to get involved if you know a quicker way (i'm sure you do) Hookbill, please feel free. Moods and I could both learn something from someone with your knowledge of the phone.

lol, my knowledge is limited to using RSD lite and SPRecovery as far as rooting goes.

You know what, he can get a copy of easy rooter and flash back that way.

Easy Root is back! - Unstable Apps. .99 and he will have the easiest way to root. Or unroot.

OK no problem. do you have a backup somewhere else on your SD card or on your computer? If not we can make one (sort of). lol

This phone is so much fun. I mean that, I enjoy this.

If you want to restore your back up then use the power button to get to the screen that has restore/backup on it. Select restores.

Indeed. 100%

Power buttin takes you back one screen.

If you are running SP Revoery you want to be at the screen that says

Android System Reovery <2e>
Pathced by SirPsychoS (0.99.3b)

reboot system now
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cach partition
mount options
backup/restore
install

I can't spell.

Sounds to me like Moods has stock recovery not SPR or CW.

Moods, check my post a couple up.
