Sounds like either you have a bAd battery or a bad charger.

I was able to charge / use the battery before I tried to go back to stock 2.2. It boots up until you see the red eye, then it shows a red LED and freezes after it gets to the lock screen, then reboots.

Once you've done that, assuming it still loops, try reinstalling whatever update you currently have. Or did you SBF yourself back?

I just wiped the cache and data but unfortunately it is doing the same thing. =[ (Just instead of rebooting it powers off).

What guide did you use? What were you trying to accomplish?

Lol. Assuming it still loops? Wouldn't it be "if that doesn't work?"

Should I try using the guide again?

I was on FRG22D and I needed to go back to stock 2.2, but unfortunately every time I turn on my phone now it shows a red battery with a diagonal line through it and no signal, then it shuts down.

Yeah, sorry. Potayto/potahto, but I didn't mean to sound disparaging. ;)

    JacobAaron:

EDIT: Let me go look at that guide.

Okay. Wow. Way to, um, overdo it on that guide. There's no real need to SBF yourself BACK from FRG22D. What, exactly, were you trying to accomplish by doing this? It may seem moot, but it's not.

I installed easy root and my phone started to act all weird after that, so I thought I needed to go back to 2.2 stock to start fresh. I am new to this whole rooting thing, as you can clearly tell. =P

Okay, first off -- stay away from Easy Root. It causes problems.

Secondly, you ARE in a pickle at this point. I have an idea or two, though. The first one is dependent on you having a card reader that you can use your SD card in, however.

Rename that update.zip and see if you can get your stock recovery image to install it. If so you might be safe. If not, we'll have to move on to more advanced stuff, including trying to flash another SBF file onto your phone, like you tried to do with that guide.

I do! I knew that micro SD adaptor would come in handy some day. Thank you so FRIKEN MUCH!!! My droid is safe and all is well. I swear I will root the right way this time.
