Help on making email stop making noise/ringtone?!

I'm just wondering if you can keep your ring Tones for text messages, but make it to where your email doesn't make any noise/ ring tone??

If you open up the email app that is making the notification sound and hot the menu button and go to the apps settings you should be able to disable notification sounds there.

If it's Gmail that you want to change, it's a convoluted process... open Gmail, then hit Menu-More-Settings then select Email Address you want to modify, then Labels to Notify.

Thank you! Verizon told me it couldn't be done, but I thought it could be somehow.
