I just installed Velocity on my LG Ally.
I rebooted my phone, and now it just loads the boot screen and then reboots over. Is my phone bricked?

No, you are in a boot loop. Just go back into recovery, wipe cache and data, and reinstall your rom.

How do I boot into recovery mode if I cant even get onto my phone?
Is there a shortcut like alt x or something?
And I also posted this into another section and a dude said I needed a different kernal version. Is that true or will clearing the cache fix it? And I downloaded velocity 2.08 or something close to that version. Would that have anything to do with it? I couldnt find a newer version anywhere so I just used that one.

Your phone might not be able to handle the kernel that comes with that rom.

While it turns on hold the x and it should get u into recovery. Try wiping first and if it won't help it might be a kernel issue.

    Tapped from my Sourcerized D1

    Yikes.

You would need to find another ROM that works with the phone.

Unless you find someone that would be willing to give you one from the same phone.

    I don't know.

I know D1 very well, but not ally. Maybe you could try asking in the Ally section?
