I tried to get ride of clockwork recovery to get this phone back to stock to return the device because the service in my area is not that great.

I followed these steps:

1. Reroot
2. Get root explorer in the market
3. Uninstall the bootstrap app
4. Go into root explorer to system/bin
5. In top right corner tap r/w
6. Delete the file called hijack
7. Delete logwrapper
8. Rename logwrapper.bin to just logwrapper

Turned off phone and turned it on and the phone is cycling on the droid screen. After getting into the recovery I wiped the data and cache partition. I'm able to get into the recovery however the backups I made were with in clockworkmod\backup directory.

How do I get my phone backup and working so I can return it to Verizon.

You're bootlooping? If so you'll have to wait for the SBF to be released openly or use another D2G to download it so you can flash it onto your phone.

Yeah, its looping on the droid screen over and over. The only thing I have is my wifes droid x. Does any one else on the forums have another D2G where they can send me update.zip that will work with the Android system recovery <3e>? I need to return this phone today so I can get out of the 30 day contract tomorrow. If I bring the phone in its current state do you think I can return it?
