The title pretty much explains itself.. I finished installing the GummyJar ROM about a half an hour ago and after the initial reboot had completed I let it sit at the boot screen for about 10 minutes thinking maybe it needed to install something else or finish up a file.. after that I decided well it must just be stuck so I pulled the battery out and restarted it and here it sits still on the boot screen with the little droid things flashing in a circle.. what can I do the remedy this? This is on a Motorola Droid2

Hold x and the power button until you see a small Droid Guy. Then press the search button, unless there is already a menu on the screen. Then scroll to wipe data factory reset and use camera button to confirm selection. Then reboot.

After you do the factory reset, Gummyjar should load for you... This method only erases the leftover crap from the previous rom.

is everyone wiping data and cache in clockwork before installing....if you dont do this, you are going to run into problems.

There are times when doing a factory reset will still leave you with a bootloop, basically if you end up looping after a rom install, pull the battery, put it back and boot into recovery to wipe data again and you should be fine. If not and you keep looping you might need to sbf back due to a corrupt file. Try the easy fixes first.

    same issue here guys

As per above; what is the 'x' button?
I'm at the white M screen and battery out produces same result. I did not choose option to wipe data when doing GummyJar. Yikes, what now? Thanks guys

    more specific

ok, I get it; 'x' button is for Droid 2 and such with keyboard. I thought it was a combo. I hav ethe Droid X with 2.1. Please advise what to do next after failed attempt at GummyJar. I have Boot recovery installed but don't know how to access it. Thanks again.
