Does anyone know how you delete the recent routes?

You mean destinations? The routes themselves shouldn't remain from one navigation session to the next.

Clarification/Question

I have not discovered how to STOP a current navigation. MENU|EXIT and BACK still leaves the current nav in place. Perhaps this is what the original message was asking.

Seriously though, have you tried clearing the cache from the Applications menu? You may need to do it for both Navigate and Maps.

each destination I put in is listed.....and cache is grayed under maps in apps
