I rooted my DX2 with Gingerbreak via Root Droid X2 With GingerBreak [How To Tutorial] | Redmond Pie. This worked fine.

Then I restored apps and data from my previous Droid via Titanium Backup Pro. This was also successful.

Somewhere along the line after the Titanium restore I discovered that my Home and Search buttons don't work.

So, I unrooted and factory reset via How to UNROOT the X2 and get it ready to go back to VZW....the right way.

    The buttons still don't work.

    Now what?

Solved. I simply did another factory reset and now the buttons are working fine. I don't know why. But that solves the issue for me.
