He could always fall back on ROM Manager and flash Clockwork. Doesn't matter, whatever is easiest for him.

There are a ton of different ways to do it but the way I suggest has the least problems.

Rom Manager and easy root have been giving people fits!!

if i lost it, how do i get it back.....i have easy root

i think i know what i did......yesterday, i hit the "unroot" button thinking it will bring me to the market to install some unroot app...

Problem solved, re-root with easy root. Everything else will just fall into place.

Even if he does that,he still will need SPR or CW. That's why I said to Install Spr: SPRecovery

and then install custom Rom to get root,

Please listen people!

ok....allow me to try and catch up

well my current build is BB v0.4, so i am rooted.....however, 5 minutes ago before reading all this, i went back and reloaded easy root....

i just dont have that superuser ninja app.....

so tallica says i need to get rid of easy root......how can i erase easy root without losing my rom build?

go to market>downloads>easyroot>uninstall

Do your apps requiring root work?

How do you have BB without a custom Recovery, I'm getting confused

When you boot up holding x what do you get?

Ok, please listen!

You have CW so all you have to do to get root back is. If you are running BB0.4 D/L the Rom again from Pete's section on DF, put on sd card, reboot recovery, install Rom with no wipe, this should let you keep your data and get root back.

If that doesn't work then you will have to wipe Data/Cache and install BB 0.4 or any other Rom you like

you mean relflash ROM manager or reflash bugless beast alltogether?

Do BB no wipe 1st.

Don't use Rom Manager aymore

Check my previous post

ok, i kinda understand whats going on in your previous post....

so right now i'm looking at CW recovery screen.....

specifically, what must i do next to reflash BB?

D/L the Rom again from Pete's section on DF, put on sd card, reboot recovery, install Rom with no wipe, this should let you keep your data and get root back.

If that doesn't work then you will have to wipe Data/Cache and install BB 0.4 or any other Rom you like

Whew! I was on the point of getting easyroot when I did a forum search and found this thread. In the other threads I read people are talking about easyroot like it's foolproof. It's been giving people fits?
