Help!! Damaged SD Card??

I just rebooted my DX and got the following message: Damaged SD Card. You may have to format it. I connected the phone via USB to PC and can't get to the SD card at all. I pulled the SD card and inserted it in a card reader and my PC doesn't see it. Any ideas? I have made no changes to my DX in over two weeks.​

I have the same problem...and this is the second time I've had it. The first time I reformatted and went through the work of reinstalling all the programs that were there...what a pain! And what data I had on the card was also lost...although I do have that backed up.

So what is causing this problem...is it preventable?:icon_evil:
