Hello all,

    I'm on the verge of trying to create an ADW theme and for the heck of me I can't really figure out how you guys theme the application icons you see when you pull up the drawer.

    I am assuming this is step 6 of the process but I can't figure out how to get started on doing them? Which folder do you put it in?

    You have to change the icon in each application apk. Most begin with ic_launcher in the drawable-hdpi folder.

    wrong!

    to add Icons in the ADW theme you have to edit the Icon Pack.xml

    Code:
    To put icons in the ADW Icon pack to be used in ADW.Launcher, just edit the res/values/icon_pack.xml file and add lines like the following one:

png_finelane_no_extension

            One line per icon to be shown in the icon pack. Use only images, not xml drawables.
            EXAMPLES:
            	res/drawable/icon1.png -->
icon1

            	res/drawable-hdpi/my_cool_icon.png -->
my_cool_icon

    		FULL FILE:

    			<resources>
    			    <string-array name="icon_pack" translatable="false">

icon1

my_cool_icon

    			    </string-array>
    			</resources>

    or you could edite the shader.xml and have all icons(desktop & app tray) shaded to a certain color. IMO thats better then creating a million icons

    You don't even need to bother with the iconpack.xml if you are just trying to change the icons in the drawer. Simply take the icon image, place in the drawable-hdpi directory and rename to the activity of the app. No other steps are needed.

    If you need activity names of certain applications, start a logcat, run the app and then check the log for the activity name.

    In order to visualize what I was describing, I've included a snapshot of the drawable-hdpi directory of an adwtheme.
