Happy ta see ya, yeah, step right up. This is the greatest [place to gain knowledge re your device, as long as you make sure the advice is coming from folks that have been here a while.

I'm also a PNW person, nearer the Eureka/Arcata/Crescent City digs, but, probably as wet or wetter than most of the US.

(Actually, we have our eyes on a upper-desert town in Central OR that is lookin v-e-r-r-y-y appealing. More to come on that.

A good example of taking care is, if you look at the active forums tab, there are a lot of people talking about maybe 'bricking' their phone, others having conflicts galore. Reason is, they wanted to get into the Froyo 2.2 platform NOW, so lots of folks 'rooted' their phone, and the OTA (over the air) upgrade that just was sent by the Devs to everyone upgrading from android 2.1 to 2.2 isn't playing well with some of the rooted phones.
