Does anybody know what this force close message means?

It appears after certain, (but not all), texts..but the texts do transmit to other party.. but if anybody knows how to get rid of it please instruct me how..thank you so much!

Force Close Message after certain texts:

"Sorry! The application Messages (process com.android.mms) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." (Force close button)

    HELP!

Welcome to the forum. Do you have a task killer running?? If so get rid of it, they are not necessary on the Android OS and they tend to cause more issues than they fix.

I would also suggest you possibly using a replacement text message app. I personally use Hancent but I know that Chomp is also very good. Both can be found in the Market. I was having the same problem until I installed the replacement app. Now I no longer get those messages.
