I have mixed feelings about the offcentered launcher button....Not sure if I like it that way
:rating05:=Launcher button placement
:rating10:=Stability and looks
How do you install it? Dl it. Extracted it using astro. Could not figure out what to do next
Simply place the apk in your apps folder, set permissions, and reboot
Ya I'm not a fan of the side button either.... too close to that damn search button I hit by mistake all the time anyway... lol
Yes, I tried the beta today and I it works well, but I couldn't get accustomed to the off center launcher and ended up going with the Helix2 from the Market. I'm more comfortable with symmetry.
I sure hope you are rooted.helix launcher 2 from the market wont work on 2.1
What do you do exactly to set permissions and what does this do?
Anyone tried this on UD 9.8?
ew, i hate that little tray the icons sit on... can anyone say osx like?
Good to know, but I am rooted and it's working perfectly so far.
Why did they have to go and F**K up a very good product by putting the launcher button in the corner than in the middle??? Dumb is what I say!1
do you have terminal or adb access? you will need to run chmod 755 <filename of the apk>. that sets the permissions for it. but the apk must be the a place where it can be used ( /system/app, /data/app, or /sd-ext/app with /data/app being the default primary one you want to use)
otherwise you can use your droid to download the file from that webpage and it'll install it for you through package manager.
or you can use adb and run from the cmd window "adb install <filename of the apk>" which takes the file from your pc and installs it on the droid.
all of the 3 options above will work on any rooted rom.
