headphones make my droid go crazy

    i apologize if theres a thread on this...i cant seem to figure out how to search on tapatalk. anyway, im running cyanogen 5.0.7 and my music app autostarts and freaks out when i plug in headphones...happened on UD10 too. whats going on with it? is there a fix?

    LOL maybe to the chevelle and Metallica i was tryin to play, but when it switched to jayz and akon i dont think that was the case

    I had the same issues with mine. After getting two new droid with that issue, i just switched to BT headphones. A VZW rep told me that it was known issues. Mainly due to users with cheap 3.5mm head phones. 1 year standard warrenty will get you a (like new) phone. Mine has worked just fine so far.

    it does this with crappy headphones and good ones. but when i used a 3.5mm wire to the radio in a rental car i just got, it was not an issue for the most part. i say for the most part, because sometimes when i touched the cord, itd start doing funny stuff, but it usually worked properly. this leads me to believe that theres some correlation to the output hardware. perhaps the resistance plays some role in the phones response.
