Headphones activating musicplayer

I'm having a problem with my Droid 1. Every time I plug headphones into them it triggers teh music player to start playing for no apparent reason. Usually I will already have a video on Youtube or something already playing and will have both programs playing at once.

Does anyone know what might be wrong and how to fix it?

In some music players, like power amp, there's a setting for that. Are you using the stock player or what?

I am using teh stock music player. Sorry, I thought I had stated that.
