HDMI quit working

I've used the hdmi output on my phone several times since I got it and its always worked really well. I've used it for netflix and also streamed nfl games to my phone and used it to put them on the tv. Last time I was watching a game it started to mess up and not work. It seemed like I could get it to work by jiggling the cord a bit but the cord seems to fit nice and snug. Yesterday I went to use it again but it wouldn't work at all. When I plug it in and flip the tv over to hdmi, it pops up the hdmi menu on the phone but then when I select mirror nothing pops up on the screen. I believe my cord is not the problem since it always can detect when its hooked up, just doesn't seem to send the picture or something? Any ideas?
