hdmi and no network connection

When i plug in hdmi and put in mirror mode, my network and cell connection is lost. Is this normal or maybe a funny cable. My wife's bionic does the same thing.

I watch my netflix from phone to tv via hdmi without issues. So i would say my network remains intact when connected hdmi. I also get texts and email notifications while watching. Must be ur cable i guess. I have a maxx and a bionic(wifi use only) that both work fine w the hdmi
