I rooted my droid with dmupdater for stock 2.1 and now after every reboot I have to go in the app and flash the recovery image. Its not a big deal for me to do but is it safe for the phone?
Also if the froyo update is pushed out will I get it if just the stock recovery is there instead of sprecovery? Thanks in advanced

It's not an if it's going to happen this upcoming week. And if you have dmupdater and you are rooted you will not be able to install the updated file.

As far as having to flash the recovery image are you talking about from SPRecovery? You shouldn't have to do that.

I suggest that you go back to stock using dmUpdater and either wait for 2.2 or try rooting again. There is definitely something not right if you have to flash the image every time.
