Have any sites confirmed Netflix will work on the Thunderbolt?

This is one of the last things I need to know before I make the plunge. I want to run Netflix on the phone, and I can foresee the data usage being ridiculously high, so unlimited data would be nice... :)

If I had to, I would root the phone if required. But I don't want to feel required to do that for this to work... I wish Netflix would just stop beating around the bush--it works with iphone and Windows--stop stalling!

The main reason netflix is not on android is that they have to meet DRM regulations and with so many hardware variations running android it is hard to come up with a solution that will fit them all.

Rooted or not you will have to wait for an official app to get Netflix. Sorry

You can rent and buy movies on Blockbuster for the TB. I don't know how they solved the issues Netflix is having???

I understand that completely.. :)

I just want to make sure it will even be potentially possible to watch Netflix over the Thunderbolt.

Some of the articles I had read were saying that it might not be possible on any phone except for the LG Revolution and probably the dual core phones. The TB might not be supported.

Would rooting it basically bypass any incompatibilities with the app (whenever it finally comes out?)

I'd hate to buy a phone without knowing whether it can stream movies. :)

verizon will never have their data capped because if they do everyone will switch to a prepaid plan with unlimited data ...I don't see this happening anytime soon
