Many of you will recall Hashcode from his work on Motorola and Kindle devices. He is most well known in the developer community for his work on "SafeStrap". Safestrap was a way of booting into recovery without the need to unlock a device's bootloader. It allowed for stock rom and AOSP based rom flashes as well as nandroid backups and other mod flashes all while bypassing the bootloader!

HashCode pretty much went silent on in mid 2014. He accepted a job with Linaro's Mobile Group and turned his focus to that project. The project is what we know now as "Project Ara". There has not been so much as a tweet from his account since December of last year. Today he tweeted that he would be working on a build of CM13 for the Kindle Fire HDX7 which would hopefully be ready prior to the release of Android Nougat.

It is great to see such a familiar face back at it in the android dev community. I will try to keep you guys up to date when that CM13 build drops!
