has the email client improved?

I was disappointed with the email client on the Droid because of several limitations, including the inability to accept meeting invites. I purchased Touchdown and have been happy with it so far, though it still crashes on me at least once a day.

Did Google update the email client with 2.01 and / or will there be improvements in 2.1 (whenever that is released to us)
