Well, just for the sake of someone expecting to find something in this thread...

I was rooted on a XT926 9.18.94 and I tried to just "unroot" and take the update but that didn't work. It would stop halfway through the update and reboot back into 4.1.2

I had to flash the 9.30 stock image and then I was able to take the upgrade.

there have been no credible reports of keeping root through the update, only dozens of reports of rooted phones and it failing.
you must flash back to stock if you are rooted, unrooting doesnt fix all the files root corrupts.

Same here rooted will not update I' all wait for a fix
