Handcent

I just downloaded/customized Handcent SMS. But since the phone already comes with a messenger, do they overlap? I turned the stock messenger's notifications OFF because I didn't want to use both programs. Is there anything else I can do? Can I disable the stock messenger altogether? Also, when I get texts, do they get stored twice (one per program)? Thanks.

The only thing you can do is make handcent your default messaging app..and disable all notifications from the stock app.. and yes, you will still receive messages in your stock app. No way of turning it off..just take it off your home screen, and leave it in the drawer..
