Handcent - Delivery Reports

I was using an LG VX5400 dumbphone for the past two years and grew very accustomed to seeing a check mark on my sent messages when they were delivered to VZW customers.

I picked up a Moto Droid yesterday and downloaded Handcent because the stock Messaging app didn't show that messages were actually delivered to VZW customers.

Here's the problem I am having. I don't want a notification sound when the message was delivered to a VZW customer. I only want to see the check mark in the conversation window. The notification sound makes me think I am actually receiving another text.

So, I guess I don't want the report, but only the check mark. How do I do that?

Well if you turn off the delivery report you will only get a report when the message isn't sent.

It would be nice to know exactly what each of those settings did.

I was having the same problem...

Go to the main screen where it lists all your contacts and messages, press the menu button, then go into settings. Next, go into "Receive Message Settings...check "Delivery Reports" and "Handcent Delivery Report."
