When I fist got my Bionic it's gps could link within 30 seconds and was accurate to 6 meters but after the recent android os update it takes a minute or more and is accurate to 1600 meters. Is my gps going dead and it's using cell towers to triangulate it and if so is there a way to fix this?

Are you sure you have GPS turned on? It sounds like it may be using cell towers to triangulate your position.

Yes but it switches to cell towers and i was wondering why because it never used to and its not because of interference because it still does this if i'm out in the open standing still

Is it your GPS, or is it Google Maps? Download GPS Status free from the market and see how long it takes to get a GPS fix. There was a big problem over the last few months with Google Maps when they did the update that allowed caching maps, their latest update makes it a little better but it is still slow. Google has it listed as a known problem.
