Maybe you hate Sense 6.0, and maybe you just prefer a stock vanilla Android experience. Either way you will be happy to know that a Google Play Edition Rom is currently in the works for the Verizon variant of the HTC One M8! This Rom totally removes all Verizon and HTC bloatware. This is the total stock experience. Basically you will be running the Nexus OS on your HTC One M8. So far the Rom will boot and bluetooth works. Enough is not working on this Rom that it is not ready to be used as a daily driver. Camera and GPS are not functioning at all and most importantly there is absolutely no cellular connection working on this rom. You can use this for wifi only, just to basically test out the GPE rom on your device. This may end up being a good base for further GPE roms, and we should see a fully working GPE rom soon!
