Is anyone using Google Wallet? Pros/Cons? Does it work if your phone is in a plastic shell case?

I have been using GW for about a week now. So far I haven't had any issues at all with it. I'm totally dedicated to it. Have all of my rewards cards put in there, and the rewards card pops up as I enter the store that I am shopping in. I've spent about 200 dollars using it at select stores like Walgreens when I go shopping and I haven't had ANY issues with it at all. I would highly recommend it.

@eddiekeyton...thanks for the information. Nice to know about how the rewards cards work. Do you have your phone in a plastic case of any kind, or not?

Nope mine is completely naked. I dislike cases. They take away from the beautify of the phone. In my opinion at least. I'll feel that way until i drop it and the screen smashes LOL. @kmf1

@eddiekeyton...thanks. I've always wanted the extra protection, but also something more to grip onto when using the phone. I use the Tylt View wireless charger, which works very well with my turbo in its plastic shell holster case, so I hope that the same would be true when using Google Wallet. I'll have to give it a try soon.

I haven't used Google wallet, but I've used android beam with a case on. Both use nfc technology from what I understand, so it should work fine with a case on.

I just put $20 in my wallet. Haven't used it yet. It absolutely should work in even the biggest and baddest cases. Unless, of course, it's made out of lead.

The quickest way is to link your bank account to it. That's what I did and it was immediate. Otherwise it will take a few days for them to confirm your identity.

I did not do that either. *scratches head
I basically just logged in. Went to use it one day and it said "you got no money". That night I added $20 to it. Came up with my Google Play Credit Card info: added $20. Done.

Government issued ID and proof of address. It asks for it right in the app, otherwise I'd be even more skeptical of giving it to them. That's kinda why I held off though, too.

I forget what I was initially trying to setup when they first requested it, but I just launched the app after this thread started and it was still asking for the info to verify me.
