I think all you need to do is go into google voice settings and click sign out or log out. Something like that.

you should also look up the "conditional call forwarding" as your VM's will still go to GV even after you make the suggested change posted above.

Try going to settings, then call settings, and one of the 1st options should be voicemail related and u should be able to alternate between gv and ur carriers

I have heard of people using Google voice as there primary voicemail service on Verizon. How is this done? I hate voicemails, heck I hate even talking on the phone, so I want vvm without paying another $3 a month.

It's awesome and It's easy. You have forward you voicemail to Google Voice.

I believe you dial *71<google voice#> to provision it.

When you go into your GV app, it's going to tell you "unable to make GV your voicemail." Go into your settings in Google Voice on your PC or Mac, disable the voicemail (it will tell you to dial *71) then reactivate it (by dialing *71 (GV number)). BOOM, now you have GV as your primary voicemail.

When I do that and try to call my phone when it would go to vmail it says please enter the number you wish to dial. I activated the Google voice voicemail then deactivated it then did the *71<Google voice #> any advice from here?
