Google Talk on profiles?

Hey all,

Is there something in specific I need to do to link a contact with their cooresponding google talk account? When I open a contact, I have their info from my google sync as well as their facebook details. I can call, email, sms, facebook, etc. ... but why can I not use google talk for that contact?
