Google schedules Android announcement for next week - San Jose Mercury News

Dammit...is this meant the end of us Droid? If Google really release their own phone, then there is no reason for them to support Motorolla phone. People might say Nexus ONE will be iphone killer...IMO, this is Droid killer!!!

I just got my google voice going and I'll tell ya...

I'm not so impressed. I'm a bit disappointed in myself for telling all my friends and family that I "changed" my number. I'm not worried about my Droid and the lack of iPhone envoy it provides.

I switched from a Storm to a Droid after 12 months. I'll gladly do it again in another 12 months if another phone offers as big a leap as I saw from the Storm to the Droid. This supposed Google phone doesn't seem to offer that in what I've seen thus far

Relax. The only scenario that would hurt us is if Google stopped updating the Droid, which they won't do.

WIth both phones running the same OS, I doubt there will be any significant differences.

Besides, who wants t-mobile? Or Sprint? Or anything that isn't Verizon, really..
