Google Goggles or Barcode Scanners

I am wondering if anyone has opinions on whether or not to have seperate apps for scanning objects with barcodes and what not or would it be better to just install Google goggles to scan everything? Any thoughts on this?

I did notice goggles was a bit slower. I'm trying out red laser and it does have a lot of info but sometimes it won't read the codes

Yea I tried red laser out on a few things and barcode is a lot faster and will read almost every code where as red laser would read only about half. Barcode just seems more stable
