    Hello folks,

i got sick when i heard that Google Earth app is only runnging on 2.1
That sucked for me. Then there was a workaround among our forums,
to get it done with a rooted 2.0.1.
NOW we have it for non-rooted phones.

Get the APK in this thread:
    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-general-discussions/12239-new-apps-2-1-a.html

    Install it using astro.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD IT DIRECTLY to your phone. Download to PC and
copy to SD installing from there!!

If it gets you any error saying "not installed" ignore it and check your main menu. The App IS THERE!

    and works ;)

I installed it and it WASNT there. I went to try to run it from Astro and it said uninstalled so I installed it again and it worked.

VERY cool application but it's HUGE... had to delete a bunch of stuff. More of a curiosity just like a real map of course.

Had no issue installing, there and runs fine on stock. No batt check yet, I consider this a play app.

    Wow!

I just installed it on my stock Droid and all systems are "go". What a great app; this is exactly why I bought this phone!!!

Only in that you don't need 2.1 or root to install, yes.

Oh great! I wanted to put this on my phone when I wasn't rooted yet, but now I'm rooted! I just rooted my phone to actually put Google Earth on it. LMAO

    Anyway, thanks Tigger! :)
