Google account problems

Just got my Incredible, and I think I'm in love :heart:One problem- a friend of mine picked it up for me, and made a random gmail account for it. I already have an account that I want to use, so how would I set it to the default? thanks in advance!

Settings/accounts and sync/select the google account and select "remove account" then you can go back a screen and select "add account"

It prompts me that the only way to do this is to factory reset, because the account is "required by some services"-and tells me that I'd lose all my personal data. I don't want to have to manually re-add my contacts and whatnot, so is there any other way?

add the new account first and then delete the old one

It looks like a factory reset might be your only choice
