good texting apps

I was wondering if anyone came across a good texting app. I tried handcent,it wasn't all
that. I want one with cool smileys and more options. Any recommendations?

the txt app that comes with the phone has lots of smileys!

You do realize the other user will not see those other "cool smilies" right?

I haven't seen anything more configurable than Handcent, I used to use Chomp SMS, which is another popular SMS program, but it has less options and no MMS.

What part of it are you trying to configure that you can't do with Handcent? ( just curious.)
