I'm curious as to what ROMS can be flashed over the latest update on the DX. (the .605 if I'm remembering correctly)
Also...not only what CAN be flashed but what is best out of those.

I really enjoyed MIUI but the fact that the camera was absolute garbage, really turned me off.

Thoughts?

CM4DX GB. Download RevNumbers' latest build from ROM Toolbox. It's fast stable and the battery life is amazing

ApeX, Shuji and ICX are also excellent

Can you PM me the link to the CM4DX download? I found one website that said it was unofficial.

They're all unofficial, download the free ROM Toolbox from the market and get it from the ROM downloads section

Sent from my DROIDX using DroidForums

Oh okay! I JUST did it as you sent this. XD

ALSO...the only thing that doesn't sell me on the CM4DX is the problems with the camera. That's something I use quite frequently, and I have to be able to use it.
But I'll keep looking!

Thanks!

I believe it. Good luck, hope you find one that works for you!

battery life isn't the greatest I've ever gotten, but right now it's been on for 10 and a half hours and I'm only down to 50% and that's with normal use (frequent texts, a couple calls, small amount of web browsing and using internet apps) so it's pretty solid

It's a great ROM. I use Vignette for the camera so I don't have any issues with it.

I'd also recommend Liberty 3. Perfect mix of AOSP and Blur (mostly AOSP). Its smooth and works great. ICX was a nice, clean ROM and had ridiculously fast data speeds. Vortex felt too much like stock for me.

The camera issue was with one nightly release where something was broken... he had it fixed in the next nightly and it has been fine ever since...

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad ROM. It just seemed like stock with a different notification bar and a Toolbox app with a few tweaks.

I just downloaded liberty 3 today because:
one: I wanted a fast reliable rom
two: didn't want the annoying led light when charging like other GB roms have (Rev cm, and MIUI)
three: I trust Jrummy16 to do a great job on all his roms (and I was right)
four: I loveeeeee .... 1% battery increments that this rom includes ...
and five: this rom has just enough blur (Dialer, Contacts Camera, and Gallery)
I highly recommend it
