Golden Sun Gameboid Crash

Golden Sun (first game) crashes for me after getting a Mercury Djinn. It seems to only be after you get it by defeating it in battle, but its happened multiple times.

Anyone else have the same issue and/or know a workaround?

I have tried playing both Golden Sun and Golden Sun the Lost Age on Gameboid and on GS 1 it will randomly lock up, happened three times in the begging area after telling the guy to leave his trunk. In GS:THA it just restarts after it finishes the opening sequence, tried two different ROMS of the game with the same effect.

This is on Droid X, and it is the Lite version, but other than save states I was under the impression that the Lite plays the games just fine.

Any clues, or are these games just not compatible?

Whenever I load Golden Sun in Gameboid, I get to see the opening developer credits... on an infinite restart loop. Can't even start a new game. Maybe it's my ROM.
