    On Engadget I thought I saw a comment from Senjay saying that the X and original Droid would both get Froyo at the same time.

    Wow... um. The version of Froyo we are running on our rooted Droids now is a leaked release candidate that Motorola has already been working on. The AOSP just means that the source code is now available for a full AOSP build, code inspection, etc.... That is what is really exciting!

    the answer is no,, the froyo source is open but motorola needs to code it to work with the hardware in the droid which is why it takes time to get to the ota state. I am sure the awesome devs like jrummy and cyanogen will have something rooted people can enjoy soon enough though whoo.dancedroid
