gmail notifications disappeared

The only way to see if I have email is to open gmail and hit refresh. I used to get notifications and I'm wondering if I've installed an app that's blocking the notification. I recently installed smooth calendar and Astrid.

Did you check to see if you still have the gmail on sync? Maybe on the power widget you disabled sync?

Go into the Gmail app and click settings and look for the notifications section and make sure you didnt turn them off on accident.

I had checked notifications so I was puzzled. It turns out my "system" application had "sync" on it and I turned it off by accident. Thanks for replying to my question!dancedroid
