Just received my droid x in the mail today. Upgraded from old droid. Activated and followed phone prompt. Successfully registered new phone and associated my gmail account to it.
Every time I try to run the gmail app, it doesn't work! My calendar and contacts are all synced up, but for some reason my gmail just won't open.
I've tried clearing the cache technique, but I don't even have that option since there isn't nothing to clear.
I guess I could always remove my gmail account from my phone and pretty much reset it to factory settings since it's new, but I figured I'd ask here to see if there is any other solution.
