I've looked around but cant seem to find it.... is there somewhere I can DL the gingerbread update.zip and install it on my phone (Rooted Moto Droid) early like I did with froyo? I am currently running LFY 1.95, and I love it, but I like to keep my original ROM up to date regardless.

Yes it will still be rooted. Just flash it like a normal ROM

Is this the OEM 2.3 rom or a custom Gingerbread rom?

It is a custom one. If anyone releases an official OTA leak that is rooted, it usually is TBH first, however I have heard that some of their sources are leaving Motorola so that door is soon to be shut. That and the fact that Moto has issued a few C&D's over the leaks.

An official OTA gingerbread will have a build 'number' assigned to it. i.e. FRG83D is the latest build 'number' we have for Froyo on the Droid.
