I'm on rooted Froyo right now. If I install TBHs rooted gingerbread through Bootstrap recovery, and I find that I don't like it, can I SBF back to Froyo using TBHs Monster zip also using Bootstrap recovery?

Yes, I've done that a few times without any problems.

Did you just place it on the root of the SD card without renaming it? And install it that way or did you rename it to update.zip first?

Sorry, missed the second part of your question. I used rsd lite to go back to froyo. I do not believe you can do it with bootstrap recovery.

Thank you. I knew that would be too easy.

Yeah you have to use rsd lite to actually sbf back to .340.

That flashable sbf zip was nice while it lasted...

I am trying to go from GB version 4.5.588 back to the stock Froyo OTA from Verizon in anticipation of there GB OTA. I am looking for a nice step by step guide to get this done. I am a newb, so the more informative and basic the better. Thanks!

BEFORE you do any of the below steps, google going from gingerbread to froyo and absorb as MUCH information as you can. The more informed you are, the less likely you are to be the proud owner of a little black brick. These steps worked for me, but your mileage may vary.

Download full SBF for froyo to computer: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!
Download RSDLite: Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!.
Download motorola drivers: http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles...al_Drivers/MotoHelper_2.0.40_Driver_4.9.0.exe

Install drivers.
Install RSD Lite.
Place phone in bootloader mode: hold down home key and power button, then release power button.
Run RSDLite.
Connect phone to computer via usb cord.
Make sure RSDLite sees phone.
Click on three dots in RSDLite, middle top of box.
Find sbf.
Click start.
Do NOT disconnect phone until completely done. Will take 5-10mins or so.

Not sure if you can post direct links to SBF files on this site?

You do not want that first link anyways, it is the old system only file.

you want to my droid world:

Full 2.3.340 Official sbf

The sbf file you need is named this (it is in the thread above):

VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf

All of this steps are correct, you just want the 2.3.340 zip file (434 Mb).
